Farm Equipment Operator

Location: Multiple Locations – Montgomery, Chester, Lancaster Counties

Duration: June 29 - July 24, 2026 Pay: $25 per hour

  • PA Flax Project is a worker-owned cooperative with a mission to build long term relationships with farmers to grow fiber flax, create mill infrastructure for processing flax into spinnable fiber and co-products and bring these products to market.

    With environmental responsibility, economic and social justice as our guiding principles, we will create a regional fiber flax supply chain, changing our region's textile industry and creating economic growth that's good for our worker-owners, our community and the planet.

    We are seeking a dependable and experienced Equipment Operator to support daily farm operations across multiple sites. This role is responsible for operating agricultural machinery, assisting with planting and harvesting, and maintaining equipment to ensure safe and efficient farm production.


    • Participate in on-farm training for operations and maintenance of specialized equipment

    • Operate Flax Harvester, and other farm equipment

    • Assist with weeding, crop assessment, and harvest operations

    • Follow all safety protocols as defined by PA Flax Project.

    • Prior experience operating harvest equipment required

    • Ability to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions

    • Reliable, self-motivated, and safety-conscious

    • Access to reliable transportation as needed

Stakeholder Outreach Coordinator

PA Flax Project is seeking a strategic, organized, and relationship-driven Stakeholder Outreach Coordinator to perform outreach, CRM tracking, and regional partnership development. This role connects communications, data systems, and stakeholder engagement to advance PAFP’s mission of rebuilding a regional flax fiber economy.  This role works closely with the Director of Education and Operations and Administrative Manager. 

  • Contractual, no benefits

  • Grant funded through 12/31/2026

  • $100 hourly

  • Outreach & CRM Management

    • Organize and accurately track stakeholder data as required by grantor

    • Track outcome and indicator metrics as required by grantor

    • Generate reports and review progress with Director of Education regularly

    • Support outreach strategies to stay aligned with company goals

    Communications Coordination

    • Align visual assets and use approved PAFP campaign materials across PAFP preferred marketing platforms.  Manage a cross-platform marketing calendar aligned with the company’s goals.

    Stakeholder & Network Development

    Leverage PA Flax’s existing and growing network with applicants network, connecting with:

    • Growers with 10+ acres 

    • End product users for off take at the mill once operational (Ex: textiles, green building and bio-composits) 

    • Corporate and educational institutions for educational events

    • Experience and ability to share a proven record of success in coalition building, outreach, stakeholder engagement, and/or marketing coordination

    • Strong organizational and data management skills

    • Experience working with CRM systems (HubSpot preferred)

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
      Interest in sustainability, agriculture, fiber systems, or regional economies
