Fall Festival at Newlin Grist Mill
Join the PA Flax Project with our Community Partner, Newlin Grist Mill, for a hand processing event at their fall festival! We will be alongside many other interactive activities, demonstrations, and displays.
Admission to the festival is free, but parking is $10 per car. Additional costs may apply for certain activities as well as food vendors. Shuttle buses between the parking area and the festival site will run every 15 minutes throughout the event.
September Wyck Hand Processing
The PA Flax Project has been hosting hand processing events at the historic Wyck house since 2022! This is particularly special because flax crop grew in their garden back in the 18th century.
Join us this fall to watch the flax crop become spinnable fiber right before your eyes!
This will be the first of three processing events at Wyck during the fall 2026 season.

We at the PA Flax Project are leading the movement to re-establish the fiber flax industry in Pennsylvania, and the Rodale Institute is one of the global leaders in organic agriculture. Join the PA Flax Project with our Community Partner, Morgan Log House, for a hand processing event at their Harvest Heritage Day & 50th Anniversary Site Rededication.
History will be brought to life with hands-on activities, local artists, and the surroundings of their historic 1774 Germanic log home. This is a great opportunity to watch flax go from crop to spinnable fiber right before your eyes!

Looking for a Halloween event before evening trick-or-treating? Join the PA Flax Project and our Community Parter, Colonial PA Farmstead, for hand processing at their Fairytales and Fables event!

The Museum for Art in Wood hosted us for the first time in 2025, and it was so much fun, that we’re coming back again!

Come learn about fiber flax! The NC State Alternative Crops Program in partnership with the PA Flax Project is hosting a fiber flax field day! We will discuss fiber flax production, harvest, and end use.
